Some Geni member has listed my family correctly but listed me as being deceased. This Geni information is therefore on the general internet search as well. FYI Daryl Hywood is alive. HOW CAN ANYONE JUST POST WHATEVER THEY WANT WITHOUT PERMISSION AND ANY VERIFICATION OF FACTS BEFORE BEING ON GENI FAMILY TREE . Can be distressing to those who research family history

Geni Support Team Hi Daryl, information on Geni is added by members who are building their family trees on the site. Sometimes mistakes happen. There was a brief period of time when profiles were defaulted as deceased when added from another deceased profile and many users didn't notice it. We have since fixed this, but there may be some lingering profiles that have yet to be updated.
We located the profile for "Daryl Hywood" and updated the living status. Since it is a living profile, the profile was also made private and should disappear from Google's search results the next time they index the page.
