Daryl Paul Spindler, Sr. Interesting that no one in the Community will not provide an answer. Or does Geni deliberately deactivate this ability?

Julie Stafford My understanding is that they will not let you delete your tree once someone starts merging it with others. This is a huge problem, as there is one person who is merging the known universe, and I'm really sick of it. It's unethical of Geni not to allow you to delete the information you uploaded. If someone had told me this would be the case, I never would have given them information in the first place.

Carole Anne (Smith) Ashworth I'm following your post Julie, as I'm seeking some clarification about this issue too.

Ellen Marianne Jensen Geni is not like Myheritag or Ancestry where you build your own three without interference from others. On Geni the main purpose is to build a big three with inputs from everyone on this site. That is my understanding. https://www.geni.com/worldfamilytree/learn-more

Julie Stafford Yes, Ellen, that is what I learned too late. This means that anyone can add information, no matter how inaccurate it is. <sigh>

Gudrun Wicart loveless I accidentally started 2 trees and I want to delete one. How do I go about it? I only added my parents and myself to that one.
