I have a tree at Geni, I am the administrator. All my relatives' profiles are editable except my mother’s. Her profile was editable, suddenly not anymore. Can you fix it?

Geni Support Team Hi Carminha, thanks for reaching out. We see that your mother has claimed her account with her email address. Note once a user claims their account, only they will be able to edit their own profile. She will need to log in to her account to make the update or she can update her profile privacy settings to allow her family edit her profile.

Carminha David Mom will no longer be able to access Geni, she passed away on Sunday 12th of December. I would like to update her status to deceased

You can use the Actions menu on the profile of your mother to report her death. After Geni has processed that, you will be able to edit the profile again.

Carminha David Who do I send the message to? The name Wanda appears in the menu as recipiente (remittee)

Geni Support Team Hi Carminha, we're sorry to hear about your mother's passing. Please report her profile as Deceased via the Actions button on her profile. At the top right, click "Actions" and select "Report." From the drop down, choose Deceased. Once our customer service team reviews the report, we can unclaim her account so that you may update it to reflect her passing.
