I added my Uncles's Y-DNA result/haplogroup to his profile and somehow, incorrectly, it has been assigned or populated to all his male on records ancestors and their descendants. However, we believe that his grandfather was not fathered by the person that acknowledged him on the marriage with his mother. How can I rectify and how does this occur? Is it automatic? Thank you in advance. (As far as I am aware, unfortunately, no other ancestors have done the Y-DNA test as a back up to confirm one way or the other.) Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Geni Support Team Hi Lynn, the propagation of Y-DNA is automatic. However, if you were to change the parent relationship to "adoptive" for his grandfather and the man who married his mother, it should stop it there.
