Possibility to add timestamps to "Current location"

I think it would be convenient to be able to add a date to the "Current location" field.

For instance, there may be sources for someone that mentioned where a person has lived. I usually put that information under "current location", as it's the current location according to that source. But a person can have had many residences throughout their lifetime, so the ability to indicate that "in 1860 lived in this town, in 1874 in that other town, and finally in 1892 lived somewhere else". Would be very convenient.

  Yes, this is a terrific idea!

  "Current location" always seemed like a weird field in the database because there's no indication of WHEN it was current.

  Indeed, a rough time (year suffices) for the current location would be great. I believe the same field is used for "last residence" in case someone died while traveling or in hospital.

  Source documentation is a whole other issue. Other fields could also come with a time (an obit could be a source for living status of many family members). Even names!

  I would love a date for "Current Location". I thought it was an edit and show under the Revisions tab but alas, it doesn't. So I'm left wondering if the person lives at this location now or how long ago.

  Hi. I'd like to also extend this request to the "Living status" field. I am getting source conflicts because I indicated that in some of them a person was alive (because he was in that source), and in some others was dead.

  It is not perfect for this problem, but you can add events to the timeline and use those to specify where the person lived in the specified period.

  Using Timeline defeats the tag "Current Location" and isn't shown in the Overview tab. The Timeline tab can be set to not display. And, there are probably others like I was for years, not familiar with the Timeline tab.

  Like it said it isn't a perfect solution.

  It also makes a difference if you want to use the current location for deceased profiles or for living ones. It would probably be better to label it as the last known location and adding a date to it would help for both living and deceased profiles.

  For many profiles you may know multiple places and periods when they lived or worked there. Those can go to the timeline.

  As far as I know a user can only hide his/her own timeline.

  That's just the point Job, what date? Many records haven't been updated in years.  The Revisions tab mostly refers to change in managers to the profile or possibly facts.I've never seen reference to "Current Location". So, if a record is added in 2000 and last modified for change of manager in 2013, what date is the current location?
