I read an old post about this phrase (not be connected to World Tree). However, wondering about the two types I see:

Scenario I

"You are connected to <whomever>

No in-law relationship was found.
No blood relationship was found.

Scenario II

No path found <whomever>

 

Does Scenario II mean I am not related to the person whereas in Scenario I am but Geni just can't determine how? What phrase tells me I am not related to the person even if part of World Tree?

  There can be stand-alone trees on Geni (you can create one with create branch). if the other person is on such a stand-alone tree that is scenario II.

  When both profiles are on the Geni World Tree, but Geni cannot find a path that is scenario I

  Does that mean that because the person's record shows Scenario II <No path found <whomever>>, they still maybe connected? 

  trying to weed out people who may not belong (my offline tree)

  Not sure.

  I think there is a max number of profiles searched for a connection.
