In order to modify or set birth order other than first/only you need to have other sibling profiles defined. Once they are defined then you can change birth order. My guess is that if the person in question is the last child born, all the other siblings will have to have a basic profile to properly set birth order.

Job Waterreus For private profiles you can only set the order if you are a manager. So it could be you have to select a specific sibling to be able to set the order if you do not manage all siblings.

Geni Support Team Hi Andrew. Yes, that is correct. The option to edit the birth order appears if there is more than one child. Otherwise, if there is only one child in the tree, it will say "Only Child." Is there something with the birth order that is not working as you expected?

Andrew R Feldmann I understand the logic but it also makes sense that the birth order could be selected without other siblings defined. This way someone could know that there are other siblings, but not necessarily have the info or time to create profiles for others.
The fact that the tree is incomplete should not prevent accurate information for existing entries.
