How do I update my Family Tree DNA test results on my profile?

If you have already linked your Family Tree DNA account to Geni, but have since taken a new Family Tree DNA test or received an updated haplogroup, then you will need to disconnect your account on Family Tree DNA and then re-connect them to import your updated DNA test results.

1. Login to your Family Tree DNA account

2. Then on Family Tree DNA in the "Tests/Tools" dashboard, click on "Geni" to go to the Partner Applications page.

Click on 'Disconnect' and then in the next window that appears click on 'Yes, Disconnect'.

3. After disconnecting, click on 'Connect Now'.

4. Click the check box to confirm you want to overwrite your previous DNA results, click the check box to accept Geni's Family Tree DNA Connector Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and lastly click on 'Authorize'.

5. Once you have reconnected your Family Tree DNA account to Geni, your updated DNA results will be imported.
