There are several ways to delete someone from your family tree:
Click on the blank space on the "tree node" (rectangle) of the person, or their photo / silhouette, to reveal the side panel. Then in the side panel click 'More' and select 'Delete'
or from their profile page click on 'Actions' then 'Delete Profile'.
Also, because building a family tree is a collaborative process, there are three cases where you will not be able to remove a person:
1. That person has joined Geni and "claimed" their profile. If this is the case, that claimed user must cancel directly from their account under 'Account Settings' and Close Account.
2. That person has other relatives attached to him or her, who would otherwise be disconnected from the tree. This can be handled by first deleting the attached relatives, which will then make your target person removable.
3. You do not have permission to edit that unclaimed Profile.
If you do not manage those Profiles, ask the Profile Manager for assistance.
