What is Spam?

Spam is the use of electronic messaging systems to send unsolicited bulk messages, especially advertising, indiscriminately. 

There are two primary wasy to report a spammer on Geni:

1. If you receive a Geni Inbox message that contains spam or suspicious content, simply click "Mark as Spam" in the links at the top of the message:

2.  If you see spam in discussions or on a profile, you can report a user as a spammer:

1. Navigate to their profile page
2. Click Actions
3. Select Report
4. Choose “Spam”
