Removing from my tree… wrongly added by Geni part of somebody else tree.

 I try to invite my friend to my tree as a friend. This invitation gave him just limited view.

 

To improve his  ability to view my whole tree I send him invitation as to my cousin wife.

 

 

 

After that Geni transfer his  relatives tree to my. Now I have incorrect relatives in my tree and when I want to remove them  I get the message I cant.

 

I asked my invited friend but even he can’t remove some part of the tree as the tree is managed by third person.

 

 

 

Please help.

 

Also how to block the automatic  transfers  to my tree in the future.

  Thank you. I would like to remove Anna Maleszynska ( Wypych) "relatives" from my tree.

  So to clarify, Anna is your cousin's wife, but Stanislaw Dorczyk is not her father.  Is that correct?

  Is it any way my friend may still have full access to my tree.

  He is my 4th cousin and we are working together on our far back  in time relatives.

  Now he is not able to view my tree.

  Yes, go to the Action tab on their profile and invite them to your Family Group.

  Jeff, Could you please help again.

   

  Now we have even more issue to correct.

   

  After your last action all was fine but my friend lost access to my tree. I decided to invite him correctly this time using his proper name.

   

  I add to my tree his direct relatives to my great aunt we share from XVIII century ( Marianna Trepczynska ( Skalska). Then I invite him properly as Kazimierz Dorczyk. This is his name.

   

   

   

  This morning I discover Geni interfere again and mess up my tree.

   

  He appear as Anna Maleszynska in Skalski –Trepczynski_ Wullert branch of my tree with “His” husband Roman Maleszynski.

   

   

   

  Also Anna Maleszynska wife of my cousin Roman got again the relatives  she never had.

   

   

   

  Could you help.

  So the person that is in control of Anna's profile is not Anna. Anna's profile is actually Kazimierz. Is that correct? What I can do is rename Anna so that it reflects the person that is in control and then disconnect Kaz from Roman. Then you can create a new profile for Anna.

  What I expect happened is that his email, which is what Gwni uses for an account was already assigned to the Anna profile. When you added a new profile for Kaz and put in his email, Geni saw this as a duplicate and merged the two profiles as you can't have two profiles with the same email address. Merging the two brought you right back to Anna and Roman.

  Yes, Anna profile is actually Kazimierz.  Could you rename Anna to Kazimierz Dorczyk in Trepczynski-Skalski -Wullert branch leaving his email to give him an access to my tree. Also removing his "husband" Roman there,

  Then could you remove relatives from Anna Maleszynska profile like you did yesterday. Please also remove Kazimierz email address from her profile.

  I think this should work.

  Ok, I've renamed and disconnected Kazimierz.  I also reconnected his father into that other branch that had his uncle and cousins.  Let me know if everything looks correct now.  

  You should be able to verify he has family group access to your tree by looking in your settings under added relatives: https://www.geni.com/account_settings/family

  Oh, forgot to mention, you'll need to create a new profile for Anna as Roman's wife.  Her birth date can be seen in the revision history of Kazimiez's profile if you can't recall it.
