I wish to remove a Branch Tree of an ex partner from my Family Tree but not necessarily the partner herself. Can you tell me please how this could be done? The partner in question has not logged into the account for several years now.

Jeff, Geni Curator Requires a pro account to split a tree, but if there are no children involved, I'd be happy to disconnect the ex if you want to specify.

Colin Edward Shinkin Hi Jeff thats brilliant. Yes no children between us. Her Branch has over 160 members and they are not relevant to our family relationships now at all. Thanks in advance. Please keep Nancy as my ex though. No problem with that :)

Jeff, Geni Curator I'm ok with disconnecting you from Nancy, but not Nancy from her parents / family. Is that your intention, disconnect you from Nancy?

Colin Edward Shinkin My intention is to still show Nancy Cabarles there as my ex but not all her Branch profiles (over 160) of her family members. Is that ok ie remove the branch?

Jeff, Geni Curator No, that's not something I'm willing to do. I'm not going to disconnect her from her husband, child and parents in order to stay connected to an ex-partner.

Colin Edward Shinkin Ok understand that then pleasse disconnect her from me

Jeff, Geni Curator Done - you're welcome to create a new profile of her, but in case she ever reclaimed her account, I couldn't disconnect her claimed account profile. But do know that if you create a new profile, I believe that family members who are Geni members, such as your wife, children and sister will get a notification of the new addition to the tree.

Colin Edward Shinkin Thats brilliant Jeff thank you so much. One more thing. I had sent my daughter Crystal Jessica quite some time ago an invitation under cutechrissy@hotmail.co.uk.
She no longer has access to that email and does not know her Geni password any more. How could she relogin using her crystalshinkin@hotmail.com as new id now please?

Jeff, Geni Curator I removed the email bound to her profile, so you should now be able to add her new email to reinvite her.
