I have an error in my family tree where the same person is the father and the son. The correct profile should be the son and I cannot merge the profile to the correct generation or delete the 'father' profile. When I try merge the profiles, I get an error saying that there is a problem merging the profiles.
Please assist me?

Virginia Morris(Rillo) on my family tree I added my deceased son whom the father was Austin Donald Anderson however he was in the wrong place so I moved him into the proper place however I couldn't delete him from the first one. Then I don't know what I did but now my ex husband is in there twice and my son with him is in there 3 time. ??? Why can't I just delete them from there place. How the dickens can they delete themselves when they are both deceased.???? Thx Virgnia
Virginia, I've cleaned it up with how I thought it was suppose to look, merging all the duplicates and setting the correct parents. I also set your relationship status with Austin to ex-spouse, which produces the dashed line in the tree view and indicates divorced (thus we could remove the annotation in the name field).
Also while looking at names, I see that you're often using the display name field, which seems unnecessary and is discouraged for formatting. It ends up forcing a formatting and preventing user preference. They all seem to have a weird missing space between the last name and surname. And the default formatting is the same as what you're entering in the display name, so it seems to make no sense why your adding it. Double profile. Merge approved. Still shows 2 of me in Tree. Says I'm my brother. ???
Robert, I went ahead and completed those merges for you.
I can't delete some entries, I made mistakes on. There are duplications. It also has my great nephew & nieces to have 2 Daddy's when their Mom divorced great niece's Dad. Great Nephew & 2nd Great Niece have different Dad from their older 1/2 sister.
To delete someone from your family tree click the small ‘x’ in the upper right hand corner of their box or 'remove' or from their profile page click on 'Actions' then 'Delete Profile'. These do not exist.
It says unable to delete.
NUMEROUS other errors I can't delete. I would buy pro after I compete this; but, I don't trust not being able to correct my typos discovered later.

Randy, can you point to the profile and I'll take a look. There are few reasons you may not be able to delete the profile. The most common is that it is connecting various parts of a branch, for example, you may not be able to delete the father if he has parents himself. Usually we merge duplicates, but that can be a challenge if the profile is claimed (user account). I can assist with whatever situation and let you know what is holding you back.

I went ahead and fixed it - several duplicates that needed to be merged.
My grandfather has become married to two females in Geni and that is an error as he only married one. I cannot delete the error as her geni tree is now attached to mine and keep being told it will split the tree and I cannot proceed. What do I do? Sara Jane Jarman did not marry Winram David Cheyne.
