How do I separate a member who has latched on to my tree? A cousin's second wife's son has added his mother's tree to mine.. Can I separate his tree from mine? I do not feel his mother's relatives are part of my family.

Jeff, Geni Curator June, we want people to build on to the tree. The concept of "my tree" is not a useful one on Geni, which is a shared collaborative world tree. If the relationship is a valid one, then let him build it out - that's what we want. Each family member collaborating and expanding the tree, connecting it to the larger tree and the world. Your privacy is maintained by your family group.

Paul Williams Jeff you miss the point.
My children will likely be interested in my side of the tree and my wife's side of the tree. However, I don't have the slightest interest in my wife's side of the tree or her 2000 or so relatives, compared to my 60 or so relatives.
Currently there are 195 inconsistencies, 136 merge issues and 90 merge requests. While I suspect none are mine, without going through every one I don't know. Additionally it lists out tree hundreds of tree matches for people I literally haven't the slightest connection with (all some potential distant relative of my wife).
The worst thing I ever did with geni was merge my tree with my wife's.
Geni should provide an option to "mute" everything related to one's partner's tree.
