In February 2014, when I first joined geni, I printed out my ascent to Hugues the Great, duke of the Franks, my 30th ggf, through Elisabeth de Cleves and her mother, Marie de France. I tried to print it again today by climbing the ascent one generation at a time. It showed Elisabeth of Cleves as my 21st ggm:

But the next step up, clicking on her mother, produced a thoroughly garbled roundabout relationship:
Yet I then pushpinned Elisabeth and successfully printed out the same ascent as before from Elisabeth de Cleves and then Marie de France to Hugues the Great, duke of the Franks, and beyond that to Saint Arnoul, bishop of Metz (an ascent that I had also found in 2014).
I don’t understand why the link from Elisabeth de Cleves to Marie de France does not endure when I am climbing a longer ascent.
