Hanna Rotenshtreich Hello,
The option to allow my profile to be searched on google in my is disabled.
Problem is, I can still find my geni profile on google and see who my parents are and my sister.
Help me block my profile in search machines such as google.
Hanna

Jeff, Geni Curator Ruth, I have no idea why you're not seeing buttons. Perhaps try a different web browser. I've never heard of the page not displaying.
Hanna, it can take several weeks after you set that option for Google to forget about you. It's not instant - they maintain a cache of the pages they index and refresh it periodically. So give it time to expire.
As for your siblings and parents, they have to change their own settings if they don't want their name indexed. But for you, Google will only see <private>.
Also keep in mind that what you're seeing on Geni is likely based on your permissions. Google is indexing public information, but when you click through to the site, if you're not logged out of Geni, you're seeing what your permissions on Geni allow, not what the public would see if they clicked the link.

Hanna Rotenshtreich Hi again,
Ok, I guess I'll have to wait.
Thank you for your answer.

Jeff, Geni Curator Hannah, just to make sure, you have this option unchecked on the permission page: https://www.geni.com/account_settings/permissions
Uncheck "Let the public search for me (profile privacy settings apply)"
