A few weeks ago, my tree displayed nearly 5,000 ancestors. Now there are less than 200. This affected both sides of the family so I don't think there was a disconnect somewhere. I can still see them if I search for them individually but that's a bit laborious. The upside of this is that it was taking many minutes to scroll from one side to the other........... Was there some type of display formatting change? Can I 'toggle' between the two?
Your profile still shows you with over 5000 ancestors (5000 is that stat count limit they put on basic users).
With regard to the display, at the bottom of tree view there is a display preference. Changing the number of Ancestors or Descendant's displayed can change the scrolling and load time considerably. I usually do something like 2 up, 2 down, but it depends on the density of the tree I'm looking at.
I am new to Geni. Go an e-mail the other day re: Pro so I decided to sign up. I spent the whole day entering ancestors (4 gens on each side) and when I went back in my tree was gone except for my name. No one to talk to - no phone numbers to contact - just how do you get help and how long does it take. I want access to my tree, or send me proof you have destroyed my credit card info and I will go away. Been at this for over 30 years and I would think these sites would be more user friendly. Paying members should not have to work so hard to get help!
