One of my ancestors is showing in Geni with an incorrect parentage. I am one of three profile owners. How can I unilaterally remove the incorrect data and replace it with corrected data? Other profile owners have been contacted but are not responding.

Geni Support Team Hi Robert, we see that you have already started a public discussion about the parentage for Henry Thompson.
From the discussion, it sounds like there is an individual that is easily confused for another. You may want to enlist the help of a curator (such as Alex who responded to that discussion) to fix this branch. They may be able to make the profile a Master Profile to prevent it from happening again. It would be best to clearly present your sources in that discussion, so that the curator can fix it.

Robert W Thompson Thank you. I am just discovering the GENI processes and am pleased there is a curator who can help. I haven't explained the problem as well as I should. I assumed Alex was a kinfolk and coming from my same perspective. I have tried to clarify the problem with him and hope he responds. This same issue haunts loads of trees on ancestry.com and it would be great to stop the confusion. Thanks again.

Geni Support Team Curators will have a purple C badge next to their name. We have over 200 volunteer curators from around the world who help preserve the integrity of the World Family Tree. Hopefully, Alex will be able to respond soon. Curators do get busy with their work in the tree. If you don't hear back, you could also reach out to another curator who may specialize in that area.
