Geni does an automatic logout when a user has been logged on for a max. amount of time, but does not give a warning.
If you happen to be in a save action the action will never finish (unless you cancel it). It may be hard to repeat the save action if you only notice the problem after some time.
Hi Job. Can you clarify, are you using the site when it logs you out? Do you have multiple tabs open?
Yes, I have multiple tabs and often multiple browsers open (all with multiple tabs open).
That also makes it a bit difficult not to miss a message that a merge reversal is complete (it would be nice if that could be added to the revision history)
We'll work on adding a warning before it logs you out and give you a chance to re-authenticate so you are not interrupted.

Hi Job, we've pushed this. Next time if you're logged in when your session is about to expire, you should see a warning and a prompt to re-authenticate to stay logged in.
