Geni Support Team Hi Vladimir, there is currently an issue with linking FTDNA accounts to Geni. We are in communication with FTDNA and they are working on a fix. We're very sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience during this time. We'll let you know once we have an update.

Beth Rosenberg Is there another way to upload dna results from FTDNA?
-
Tom Larsen Maybe you a warning here https://www.geni.com/dna-tests/ before people bying a DNA test they can not use in Geni.
Its over 60 days the transfere link is not working.
What is the problem. Is it a legal problem?

Antti Olavi Hiillosmäki its now been broken 75 days. Last time DNA results has come 12.2. It has to be something to do with the new owner of FTDNA, somebody isnt maybe happy about the earlier agreement....Hard to believe it could be any software or similar problem, someone has just cut off the connection

David Wetherington Is there a workaround created to link FTDNA tests to Geni? Or another way to import my test into Geni manually? At least give us an ETA on the approx. fix for the issue.
-
Geni Support Team Unfortunately, we do not have a manual workaround. We use FTDNA's API to transfer the DNA data to Geni. Currently, we do not have an ETA on when FTDNA will have the issue fixed.

Daniel Adam Howell Why not work around this by providing a way to transfer MyHeritage DNA results to Geni? You are the same company, after all, right?

Tomi Lappalainen This constant "unfortunately.....ftdna....do not have ETA" -jargon starts to get annoying. We -customers- give *our* money both of these companies, and this is what we get. Customer service personnel does it's best to explain incompetence and lack of leadership - both GENI and FTDNA executives. This is clearly not a coding issue anymore (if it's ever been), or you guys have the worst coders of the trade. Get a grip.

Markus Eriksson Brodén +1 on the waiting, when will we get an ETA?
-
Geni Support Team Hi Markus, unfortunately, we do not have an ETA on when this will be fixed. We are in communication with the FTDNA team, who are still working on this.
-
Monika Ehimhanre I think they afraid as. Original. Work of descendants was removed and replaced. With pretenders.
-
Tomi Lappalainen @Geni Support Team, this is funny. When asked, FTDNA reply is the quite same, but they are pointing towards Geni team :)

Geni Support Team Hi everyone,
We are pleased to announce that the integration between FamilyTreeDNA and Geni has been restored.
We thank you for your patience and apologize for the delay in getting this feature restored. If you don't yet have your FTDNA kit linked to Geni, you may do so now by following the instructions at https://help.geni.com/hc/en-us/articles/229707687-How-do-I-link-Family-Tree-DNA-test-results-to-my-profile-
If you've already linked your DNA kit to Geni and wish to update your results, you must first disconnect Geni from FTDNA and then you can reconnect your accounts. Instructions for updating your DNA results are at https://help.geni.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005316387-How-do-I-update-my-Family-Tree-DNA-test-results-on-my-profile-
If you encounter any difficulties please post to the discussion at https://www.geni.com/discussions/157595 and we will be happy to assist you.
