I've been on Geni for a while, at least a year or more. I was able to search for people, etc., and was successful at searching. I tried out the Geni Pro as a trial, and as it seemed to just send my searches to My Heritage, where I already have an account and dna test results. I decided that Geni was better as a separate search engine, so I canceled the trial membership. Now, the Geni search doesn't find anyone, not even myself, when I enter a name. It simply sends me back to My Heritage, so I have actually lost a search engine since trying out the trial membership. Also, I paid to have the sites connected (My Heritage, Geni, and Family Tree DNA), and Family Tree DNA was already working with my My Heritage account before I paid for the extra connection. Clearly, something is wrong. Please let me know what I need to do. Thank you.

Geni Support Team Hi Mary Anne, I think there may be some confusion about what a Geni Pro subscription offers. First, Geni and MyHeritage operate as separate websites. Geni Pro only gives you access to premium features on Geni. This includes access to Tree Matches, full access to Geni's search engine, and priority support. It does not give you access to MyHeritage features (Record Matches, Smart Matches, SuperSearch results). If you are landing on a MyHeritage page, then it sounds like you may be trying to do a search on MyHeritage instead of Geni.
Lastly, it is free to connect your Family Tree DNA results to Geni. There is currently a known issue with linking accounts that the FTDNA team is working on fixing, so if you tried to link your accounts recently, it would not have worked.
