I learned two years ago that my father who raised me is not my dad. Neither he or I knew until we did our DNA. I know who my bio father is and would like to start new on his side.
I had already created my family tree on his side going back many many generations.
Is there a single step or two to delete these?
Just change the type of parents or ask a curator to cut the relation with the parents.
You should NOT delete profiles managed by others
Hi Marci, to expand on what Job suggested above, you can simply add your biological father to the tree as an ex-partner of your mother. Then click on the pencil icon at the bottom right corner of your node, go to the "Relationships" tab and select the correct set of biological parents for yourself in the dropdown. Then save.
My problem is that one person added a person to my familytree but it is not the same familytree She won't disconnect this person and now I have a whole new familyside that is totally wrong! Do I have to delete my familytree and start a new one and keep it private from the start? I have tried to delete this attached person from my side but it doesn't work.
You can add a source from which it is clear the connection is incorrect and ask a curator to disconnect the profile.
