Once a user has claimed his/her profile you can no longer edit it unless you are family and the user allows it (see setting https://www.geni.com/account_settings/profile_privacy/)
My cousin's husband no longer has access to the email address used on his Geni account and has forgotten his login info.
I am not sure he is able to confirm his identity and communicate with you.
I would be able to re-invite him, if the e-mail is removed.
Is there any way I can confirm his change request?

Did you look at the help for Login & Invitations (like How do I update the email address on my Geni account? and How do I update the email address on my Geni account, if I no longer have access to that email address?)
If that does not help see How do I contact Geni about my subscription?
