I received an email from Geni about potential “smart matches” from Filae, but those where about myself and my brother (!!)

I thought Smart Matches only came from public records, years after a person’s date of birth, how can I be in the Filae records?

I only have a free Geni account, I haven’t used Filae.

  Hi Emmanuel, Smart Matches are matching family trees in MyHeritage's database. The matches linked to Filae are trees that were submitted by Filae.com users. It's possible a relative may have started a tree on Filae and it is now getting matched through MyHeritage's database to Geni.
