I wanted to view my direct relationship to Rabbi Yoseph Karo (https://www.geni.com/people/Rabbi-Yoseph-Karo-רבי-יוסף-קארו/6000000006712152499) from my mother (I'm the 11th grand grandson). I clicked on the button to create the path and it found a crazy long relationship from my father. I fixed what I had to fix, linked what I had to link to make it work but then... I cannot renew the relationship path so it reflects my direct relationship. I could do it from my mom and it found it. But from me... how do I reset it?

Judy Renee Powers I'm having the exact issue with mine. How do we fix this? My 8th great-grandmother on my dad's side is showing up as a 6th cousin on my mom's side. It's crazy!

Jeff, Geni Curator Next to the path, look for the refresh icon, which is two arrows circling.
https://www.geni.com/images/icn_refresh.gif
That icon will appear after a certain amount of time after the relationship was cached. Curators can refresh this path at any time if you want to post the profile you would like refreshed in relation to you.

Andrea Rezabek (Ahonen) This seems like an awful lot of work for curators. When will we be able to refresh ourselves?
It's frustrating when I check DNA matches, they seem to route through marriages and all kinds of crazy paths that they shouldn't.....especially as I am still building my tree. (It would also be super useful to be able to upload GEDcom rather than putting this all in by hand.)

Bjørn P. Brox When the cached path is a week old you can refresh it yourself by clicking the
icon that pops up after after the path description. When it comes to DNA matches they are independent of the tree on Geni, - if a match suggest for example third cousin or more and the Geni tree does not show such a bloodline connection it should be an indiction that something might be wrong in your tree or that you are missing some links.
