I do NOT want a Geni Pro subscription, and I don't want it to pop up every time I search for a name

  Did anyone ever answer this? How can one click on a search result without bringing up the stupid join pro window?

  Same here, I do NOT want  a Geni Pro subscription. When I do not accept it, it stop me to continue in geni :(

  does anyone have a way to stop the geni pro subsription window coming up instead of the results of my searches?

  Hi Ruth, search is a Geni Pro feature. Basic members may only access profiles they manage or collaborate on in the search results for free. These profiles are indicated with a green check mark.

  Therefore, if you find that you continue to get the offer to upgrade, then it means you are trying to access a paid feature.
