no idea, a problem

I clicked on report a Bug and this "What's your idea" came up????    I have been trying to put in dob & dod information and it will let me put in the month and date but as soon as I start to put in the year I get "invalid date". I have tried MM DD YYYY, MM/DD/YYYY, MM-DD-YYYY none of these will work.  Can you help please?  Thank you

  Jus ignore the "What's your idea"  title, - take a look at the path above shows that you posted it correctly.

  How do you enter the date?
  Typing it or pasting it?
  If pasting, ensure that there is no hidden or leading/trailing spaces are included (some browsers add a space)

  The format you should use is the format you have selected in your date preferences you find in your account settings.
  
  A much better method to avoid mixing month and day is to spell out, or using the short form of the month name in your selected user interface language, like "9 april 1878"

  I have read many threads stating this same issue, but keep finding them closed to new comments. I too am having the same issue. Provided screenshot as requested and got no further replies. The suggestions offered by curators do NOT work... What is the solution?

  CM - when I went back in I went under the "Family" tab to "list" and scrolled down to the persons name I wanted, clicked the name and then clicked edit and for whatever reason I had no problem putting in the date in this format 04/28/2016.   Not sure where you were having the problem but I was having trouble when I was in "tree" and tried to edit from there, so I really don't know why it worked in one place and not the other, so try it like I explained from the beginning.   Good Luck
