Why has geni taken money from my card??? i only signed up for the free trial and yet they have decided to go and take a dollar from my bank account anyway, why? can i have it back since this was a free trial right?

Geni Support Team Hi Alexander. Please know this is not a charge, it is a standard credit card authorization. In order to verify that a credit card entered is valid, a $1.00 USD authorization is sent to the credit card issuer. If it's approved, then the card is validated. The $1.00 USD authorization is voided the same day and it will disappear from your credit card account within a few days (the timeframe depends on your credit card company, usually within 3-10 business days).
