Linda Coleen Stutzman I'm having the same problem. It has been this way for about a week.
-
Barbara von Euler I have been having the same problem for about four days now.

Richard Gary Danzer Same exact problem. No graphics, tree won't load. Refund?

Al Ludlum What is everyone using for an antivirus???......I have to turn off McAfee's firewall.
-
Clair Husby I am using McAfee, but it should be compatible with Geni. -
Clair Husby Would turning off firewall open you up to other malware? And Viruses? -
Marie-Anna Celestell I am having the same problem since about a week.

Barbara von Euler I'm also using McAfee, and when I contacted the Geni help desk, they suggested I check my firewall. I did, and it does not seem to be blocking Geni. Geni isn't really being blocked anyway; it's just not displaying correctly. Is there a way to turn it off just for Geni? I am not inclined to turn off the firewall altogether, as I think there are too many viruses and too much malware out there to take that risk.
The help desk also suggested I check to make sure my version of Flash is up-to-date, and it is.
The problems I'm having arose after a curator (incorrectly) merged some profiles on my tree. That may just be coincidence, but I wonder if something happened when he did that.
Also, I thought it might be an issue with my browser, but it does not appear to be. I'm using Chrome, but when I tried to access Geni in Internet Explorer, and it has the same problem in IE.

Christine Malone I'm having the same issue and also have McAfee. It just started happening within the last few days. It works if I turn the firewall off, but that's not acceptable. Please advise.

Richard Gary Danzer The problem with my system was the McAfee Firewall. I turned it off, and Geni worked again. I turned McAfee back on, and Geni still works. Looks like cycling the Firewall off the back on did the trick.

Barbara von Euler Turning the McAfee firewall off briefly seems to have resolved my problem. At least for now. It's very strange, and I wonder whether the problem is at the Geni or McAfee end. It will also be interesting to see if the problem recurs.
-
Clair Husby I turned the firewall off briefly and it seems to work, but then I tried to look at photos that some one added and it went back to its old stuff.

Marshall Gratz Same problem with both latest Chrome and latest Safari. Workaround is to turn off McAfee firewall, open Geni, then turn McAfee firewall back on. Geni session continues to function normally.
Situation needs attention from Geni.
Thank you

Robin Greg Pack I'm having the same problem. Definitely the McAfee firewall.

Melanie Faith Childs, Ms My computer just did an update and now I can no longer see my tree!! I can see other pages indicating my info is still all there, but there are no graphic options for the tree and that tab is just empty :(
-
Richard Gary Danzer It is the McAfee Firewall. I have disabled it and am using another Firewall. Now Geni works just fine.

Marie Hewson nee Bull This is frustrating, unable to view the normal Geni page for over a week now, thankfully it has happened now as I was about to renew my pro membership and it would have been useless to me.
