I have made a mistake in the middle of my tree and therefore I had to unmerge it. Now I have two independant trees and I would like to merge, but how do I do that?
As they are both administrated by me, they do not appear as a match to eachother..
Could anyone hep me please??
Hi Sabrina. Find two duplicate profiles (for yourself or for another family member), one from each tree. Open one in tree view, and on the rectangular node with their name, you should see the word MORE that you can pull down, and then click MOVE THIS PROFILE. When you do that, you will see a floating node with that person's name in the upper right of your screen. Then open the duplicate profile in tree view. You should still see the floating node. Drag it onto the mode for the matching person, then select "This is the same person" and follow the directions to agree to merge the two profiles.
Now that you have one profile merged, you should be able to click on the yellow triangle in the lower left corner of the node (or alternately, under MORE, choose Resolve duplicates), and you will go into what's called the CRF wizard, which allows you to drag and drop matching profiles onto each other, and then leads you through the merge process for each one.
