How do I correct the spelling of my name?

A relative submitted my name to Geni and she misspelled it. How can it be corrected?

  Darrel, do you have access to the profile--that is, have you joined Geni using this profile? If not, and if you have a different profile, then you will need to merge the two--you should contact your relative and ask her to insert your email into the profile so you can occupy it (and so it can be merged into your other one, if applicable--be sure the emails are the same for both).

  Then once you have control of your profile you can edit the data using Edit Profile.

  The family name is inaccurate! Two branchs on two sides of the family are not communicating with one another because of this mistake.
