How do I delete an individual?

Pam Wilson, Curator Marcus, is this an individual you have added? If so, go to their tree view, and in the upper right corner of their node, you will see a little X which you can click to delete the profile.
If it is an individual that someone else has added, you need to speak to that manager and explain why you feel the profile should be deleted. In general, we try to never delete the profiles of other people; if they are duplicate, we merge them instead.

Lois Lubin If it is a claimed profile, this person should not be deleted - moved perhaps, split off perhaps (requires Pro or Curator ability, I believe) - but if they exist and have claimed their profile, they are real and should not be deleted.
If it is an unclaimed profile with others attached to it (spouse and/or children) then you probably need to delete them first before will get x in that profile -- again, best to only do if these were profiles you added, now realize are mistakes (or possibly duplicates - in this case, if names the same - I suggest edit name of one to be deleted to include "duplicate" or "delete me" so do not accidentally delete the profile that should be kept. Geni frowns on deletions, but when you accidentally add a sibling or etc. you forgot you had added - or worse, another relative added and you do not want to step on their toes - sometimes it seems the best way to go.)

Permanently deleted user To delete someone from your family tree click the small ‘x’ in the upper right hand corner of their box. Also, because building a family tree is a collaborative process, there are three cases where you will not be able to remove a person:
1. That person has joined Geni and "claimed" their profile. If this is the case, that claimed user must cancel directly from their account under 'Settings' and Close Account.
Have they already activated their accounts? If so, they must login and go here: http://www.geni.com/account_settings/close_account to close each of their own accounts.
2. That person has other relatives attached to him or her, who would otherwise be disconnected from the tree.
This can be handled by first deleting the attached relatives, which will then make your target person removable.
3. The person who added that unclaimed Profile, the manager, does not allow the Profile to be edited by others.
If you do not manage those Profiles, ask the Manager for assistance.
