Someone merged into some of my names, and I want these removed, but there are no x's. They are based on shitty research, just taken from books, and some are even written wrong with no way for me to edit, and I don't want them in my tree. In some sort of damage control I switched all "healthy" lines to private profiles, but the damage is already done. Do I have any other option than to just delete everything I've entered and start using a real genealogy software?

Permanently deleted user When two profiles are linked together for merging, there is a chance that not all the relationships match. Therefore by completing the Profile Merge, you will decrease your chances of splitting the Tree and may then complete the Tree Merge by selecting 'Continue' the correct set of parents.
Tip: Completing the pending Profile Merges first will allow you to select the appropriate parents. -
