How to I unfollow someone I am listed as following?

Follow

I am listed as "following" someone that I do not know or care to follow.  I do not know how this occurred or how to "unfollow" him.  I have clicked on the "unfollow" button next to my name on the list of "followers" on his home page but this does not remove me as a "follower".

Geni needs to clarify the proper way to use the follow/unfollow feature.

  You should see a "Unfollow" button at the top right of the other persons profile page.

  Jeff, is the only way to prevent another user from following me to block them?
