I am seeing at many places in immediate family as half brother or half sister how this mistake can be rectified kindly advice & what precaution is to be taken to avoid such mistakes.

  I'm not sure I understand your question.  Could you clarify?  Is it your profile or another profile?  Seems there is two likely scenarios: the profile has a wrong parent or there is a duplicate profile of the same parent.  If it's the wrong parent, edit the profile and select the relationships tab - choose the correct parents.  If it's a duplicate profile for the parent, merge the duplicate into one profile.

  I added a brother and it is showing up as "Half brother".  How can I fix this?

  Rohit, Edit the profile, Select the relationship tab, change the parents to the correct parents.

  Perhaps the other profile has a different parent with the same name.  Double check the profile ID of the parents to make sure they match up, perhaps a merge is needed.
