what do you do when the ex's wife is a curator and decides to make changes on your profile without your permission or consent?
From a genealogical point of view, the information associated with an ex-partner should not be deleted or removed ... it should just no longer be accessible "as family" and should not be the "primary" or "current" relationship used to draw a tree. However, any descendants of that relationship ought to still be able to see the "ex'es" tree, even if marked private.
I understand the emotional pain which might be associated with having "Ex" information; however, it is a reality of the descendants history and of the other partner's relationships. When the third generation of descendants view the tree, they ought to be able to navigate all the (recorded) relationships which took place (related to their family).
Usually it is the childless former relationships that are removed completely as they are no longer relevant in a genealogical point of view.
I agree with Dan. In my case, I'm doing this for my kids but the ex and his new wife have their own agenda.
I want to remove my ex wife completely and do not want her to be able to get on my Geni Site.

geni should give people a bit more control over their own documentation and we should also be able to determine which curators we permit to alter our info. I don't mind having A curator per se but it shouldnt be the other woman for example unless there's an amicable relationship there.
