Paula Mae Hurwitz What's even worse is when I get this message from Geni: We've found a duplicate for a profile you manage, (name removed). View the two profiles to verify that they are the same:
When I click on the link, it shows me the two profiles. When I say they're the same & ok to merge...I get the ask to subscribe message! What good was their e-mail when all it did was frustrate me.

Mona Lantz Levi Hello Paula, I agree with every word, but what does it help us?!!! Why Geni's team not solve this bug?
That's a lot of time I turned them about this problem and no response, no solution.
There are many other websites to build family trees. We need to organize as many families as possible leave Geni and go to another website.

Paula Mae Hurwitz I have started using Wiki tree. It's a good bit different than Geni, but I am getting used to it's style. Much of the person's details are added in free form and you can show sources. The tech support by a fellow named Chris is wonderful. He is very personable and responds quickly. Merges are very easy to do and there is no nonsense about paying or free users--it's all free. What I like very much is that if I want, I can set privacy levels for each single person (from totally private to fully open, with steps in between). The help section is excellent.
I have given up on Geni. What I have already added will remain, but I will not pay Geni to make additions, deletions, merges, etc.
