Geni found a match in two profiles where it is obvious that it is correct, everything matches. I have made a merge request to the other profile manager. What if the person never answers? How long will the request stay pending, forever?

Liivi Murumets Merges of private profiles must be approved by both managers or their family group members. If other managers accept your family group request then you will be able to complete merges of profiles managed by them.
Public profiles may be merged by Curators, Pro members, both managers or their collaborators.
