On page http://www.geni.com/merge/compare/6000000007865763598?to=6000000008105739302 I am being asked to merge two similar profiles for the same person. (THis is in response to an email Geni sent me about this.) When I try to do so, I'm taken to a page that offers an upgrade for a price. When I choose "No thanks. Continue" I'm returned to the original merge page without the merge being completed. This is an endless loop and there is no way for me to merge the profiles now. When I tried to get online help, selecting "Submit a Ticket," the same thing occurred.
Please don't tell me that only paid members are now able to merge duplicates in their own trees! If so, I'm done with Geni and will remove whatever of my 35,000 manually entered names that I can before going elsewhere. I've invested too many years of my life in building this tree to be suddenly cut off from it.
