Unable to add a hotmail.com email account. Are there any issues with this?

Adding the hotmail account and then submit comes up with an error as an Invalid email account

  We do accept Hotmail.com email addresses. Are you trying to invite someone under a Hotmail email address? or update your own?

  Trying to add in an email account to a profile that is part of my tree. I added the profile last week.

  Just tried again and it worked. Was It a timimg issue. Like can't add in an email address for 2 days on a new profile
