My geni tree is 'frozen' - I am considering going to ancestry but before I do I want to understand how the changes to geni work. Does everyone who wants to use geni have to pay?? The help screens are not clear.

Permanently deleted user If the family tree has reached over 100 profiles, anyone you invite as a basic user will be able to add 5 additional family members without upgrading. Once they hit there limit it will prompt the user to upgrade there account in order to add any new information.

Graham Saker Thanks for the reply - so to clarify if we have 100 people in the family registered on my family tree, sending greetings, adding the odd baby and pictures and text into my geni tree they will each have to pay £260 for the priveledge in the future - I don't think so. Kristian Kvilekval A limit of 5 seems unreasonable. When I was invited by a pro-user to to join, I was excited to see that his tree (which I am distant relative) very extensive. Your advertising suggests that I could add another 100 profiles before being required to upgrade.. after adding a few people my account was locked.. not very nice.
