I wanted to create a tree where i could trace descendents. The problem is: the wife of a nephew added her parents and relatives that have no relation to me. How do I separate myself; another example: my brother-in-law filled in the relatives of his mother and they have expanded their tree. These people are not even distantly related to me!!!
In other words, when I put up my tree, in-law relatives created trees of their own families, and it is as if they are related to me.
Anyone can help?

Geni is about collaboration and building one family tree, so when you invite relatives to the tree they are able to continue building the tree even the in-laws. Sometimes you may end up finding out you are related to the in-laws through a common ancestor and not only by marriage.
