Lo Tree View (standard format) -- see little 'x' in upper right of box -- click it. That is how you delete a profile.

Geni Support Team Hello Svein Skeide:
To delete someone from your family tree click the small ‘x’ in the upper right hand corner of their box in the tree view. Also, because building a family tree is a collaborative process, there are three cases where you will not be able to remove a person:
1. That person has joined Geni and "claimed" their profile. If this is the case, that claimed user must cancel directly from their account under 'Account Settings' and Close Account.
Have they already activated their accounts? If so, they must login and go here: http://www.geni.com/account_settings/close_account to close each of their own accounts.
2. That person has other relatives attached to him or her, who would otherwise be disconnected from the tree.
This can be handled by first deleting the attached relatives, which will then make your target person removable.
3. You do not have permission to edit that unclaimed Profile. If you do not manage those Profiles, ask the Manager for assistance.
For future reference this information is also seen under "How can I remove someone from my tree?" link: http://help.geni.com/entries/469469-how-can-i-remove-someone-from-my-tree
If you are a Pro user you can also merge the two profiles instead of deleting the profile. Please see the following link in regards to merging: http://help.geni.com/entries/461179-what-is-a-merge-request
