I have all my profile settings to 'private,' but when I log out and look up a family member all their information is public. This is unbelievable. I can't contact customer service because I'm not a paying member. I'm so outraged!

This Profile is NOT set to Private. The globe beside his name lets you know this is a Public Profile.
Moreover, it looks like this is your 4th great-grandfather - so he is outside what used to be called your "Max Extended Family". You can only set deceased folks to Private if they are within your Max Extended Family - ie 3rd Great-Grandfather / 4th Cousin or closer.
To set a Profile to Private - either do thru Edit the Profile, or from Actions on that Profile. If you have a choice, you will see "Make Private" or "Make Public". (if it says "Make Private", then it is currently Public). Public Profiles are outlined in green in Tree View, have that globe to right of name in Profile view. Many, many of yours are Public.
Yes, I know my profiles are public, Lo. But how can I make them private?
You suggested, changing them in 'Actions'.. but there is no privacy option. My profiles that are public don't have a choice. This is so frustrating!
Any deceased ancestor that is outside of your Family Group (fourth cousins and closer) is considered public, you would not have an option to change it to private.

I noticed for the first time yesterday - no choice under Actions - but when I clicked "Edit Profile" -- towards top of Basic Screen - wasstill a tick-box, followed by "This is a public profile". For ones that are Public - there is a check in the box; when I clicked on it, check went away - and when I saved with box un-checked, Profile was no longer Public.
Do not know whether the choice under Actions went away due to change in Geni's Programming, or is dependent or on how closely related to you the profile is, or some other characteristic. But try "Edit Profile". Again - for deceased folks outside your "Max Extended Family" you will not be able to set to Private (unless they are within Max Extended Family of a claimed profile in your Max Extended Family -- for example, if you have been adding your 2nd cousin's ancestors for him, and he has a claimed profile, you can make his grandparents that you do not share Private, even tho you would not have been able to if he did not have the claimed profile). I always check after adding a Profile to see if Geni defaulted it to Public - and go in and edit back to Private if they did. If no such option (ie I am outside Max Extended Family) - then I delete the Profile (immediately, before anybody else has gotten used to seeing it or etc).
