My father passed away over a week ago and I reported his death through the Actions button. So far, I have heard nothing, the profile has not been updated nor released, and when I attempt to re-report it, it tells me that previous report is still pending.
Can someone tell me when I can expected the Report to be addressed? I think a week should be more than enough time...

I'm sorry to hear about your father's passing. My condolences to you and your family. Your father's profile has now been unclaimed and updated to reflect his passing, you are now able to edit his profile.
We try to complete all reported deaths within 24-48 business hours. What occurred was that your request was reported as a 'Claimed Historical Profile' and these reports may take more time. Please know a profile is considered a Claimed Historical Profile when a user creates an account as a deceased person, for example - a user creates an account as President George Washington (1732-1799). We do have an option for 'Deceased' as one of the reasons for reporting a profile. (http://help.geni.com/entries/20470882-how-do-i-report-a-profile-as-deceased)
