Why can't I see or reply to guestbook messages on my profile page, yet I have been notified of receipt of such messages per email? When I click on the link sent by Geni it sends me to the senders profile. Can not find any way to get my messages on my profile

Jeff, Geni Curator Your guestbook should be visible on your profile page and you should be able to reply back there, or if you prefer, the other person's guestbook and/or private message.

Jeff, Geni Curator I don't have the permissions, as a curator, to see your guestbook but it should be on the Overview tab under the About and Immediate Family sections. I have to scroll down to see mine. I'm not sure why it would not show for your profile as it's not something that can be hidden as far as I'm aware. The only ones that don't show one are public profiles. If you still can't see it, I'd file a bug report as it's not anything the community can help you with.

Bjørn P. Brox Eliza (Elsie) Jammy (Cohen), - you have to go to your account settings in the menu that pops up when clicking your name in the upper right corner of any Geni window, to set a permanent password.
It looks like your profile is not fully claimed, something I can see because your profile is listed with a manager. -

I have set my password (which was already set) Still nothing on visibility of Guestbook. 2 options... where do I enter my password in the hope of seeing guestbook and secondly perhaps if I can remove the manager will that help? In which case can I remove manager myself or do I have to direct myself to her

If you think you have problems with remembering a new password you should at least changed it to the new, and then change it back.
May be a log out and in again is required.There should not be listed any manager on your profile if your profile is fully claimed.

Malcolm Owen It's all BS. Email today said I had comment on guestbook but nothing in the field when I logged in. Field is definitely there. Message only in the email. Can't reply to a blank field eh? I'm certainly fully claimed and have full access to the tree. Will have to reply by email or facebook.

Dianne Elizabeth Ashworth Got it, Jeff. <slaps forehead> Profile page, not Home page. I almost never go to my profile page. Couldn't a link be added to Home page on the right side under the "Following box", if not move/duplicate the whole thing to Home page?

Jeffery Mark Washington I also.... suffer from the inability to comment even on my own guestbook, which I was sort of using as a blog and/or digital diary of things and events that I don't have time to document on paper, plus because of the remote availability the guestbook was very useful in helping me help others with nutritional issues, health issues, genealogy issues, you name it.. but now I can't do anything, the guestbook is literally - disabled..
