Deleting a entry that is in wrong order

I have done everything to try and fix a problem I created. First, I skipped a generation. Found that there's no simple way like on another site I was using to just delete my entry. So I tried changing all the info, but it left the person as "sister" instead of allowing me to change title to "wife" or "mother", so now I have even a bigger problem and it seems there's no way to solve it on my own. I've read people's comments and it seems this problem has existed at least since 2011. I'm so confused now I'm not sure who's who. Being driven crazy!

  Several ways: You have the "Move" function in the tree-node menu, and if you look at the parents entry under Relationship tab under edit profile you will see that it is a pull-down menu for easy moving a node to another generation. At the same place you will also find option to cut parent and spouse connections.
