Some of my relatives have added some names twice. Without seeing that their father's name was added, they added their father's name again. This would then show up as step father. How do we merge such entries without being a Geni Pro member?

Jeff, Geni Curator I think you can accept the merge if a pro member initiates the merge. So you could invite a pro member or a curator into your family group to start and even complete the merge process. Otherwise, you could just delete the duplicate profiles.

Vivek C Nair How do I invite a curator? Who will be my curator? Why would he do these edits/merges for me?

Jeff, Geni Curator I'd be happy to help you out. Do a search for me in Geni in the top search box. On the right side, select the action "Add to family group" and note what profiles need to be merged.

Vivek C Nair Tried adding you to the family group, Guess, that is also limited to Geni Pro member only :(

Jeff, Geni Curator It should be available to all members. You could just send me a message, then I can send you an invite. There are too many Vivek's on Geni - I can't find which one you are without you sending me something.

Jeff, Geni Curator Vivek, did you ever get this strait. I think it is the search feature that prevents you from finding me (hope they make this a free feature soon). Here is my profile url if you want to send me a message. http://www.geni.com/people/Jeff-Gentes/5685693775440034593
