I don't wish to display my ex-wife on my profile.  Is there a way to sever the relationship permanently on the site?

  Michael, go to edit profile, relationships and set the marriage status from the drop down menu then save.

  Go to your profile. Next to immediate family it says, "Photo view | Add family | Edit"

  Click on edit.

  Click hide next to the person that you no longer want to see.

  Michelle's option might be best, particularly if you have kids together.  But, If you're a pro member or if someone in your family group is a pro member (and given edit access to your profile), you can "split" a tree, which is done by clicking on the relationship and selecting "Remove".
