Is it allowed to create a tree that is not your family?

For instance, could you do a tree of Biblical genealogy, or of Middle Earth characters, etc? Would this violate the intent or the terms of the site?

  Yes, you can create a separate tree, but it has to start out connected and be disconnected, which requires a plus or pro account I think.  We already have the biblical tree (http://www.geni.com/projects/Biblical-Tree/38).  As for fictional trees, I think they allow the lose ones (see http://www.geni.com/projects/Fictional-Genealogy/8908).  However fake profiles are reportable and usually get deleted, though I don't see it in the Terms of Service.  Geni wants to be know as a reliable Genealogy site, so fake or incorrect data damages that reputation.
